Livio Provenzi est psychologue et chercheur en psychobiologie du développement. Ses projets de recherche intègrent des méthodologies issues de la recherche sur le bébé, la neuroendocrinologie et l’épigénétique comportementale afin de comprendre comment l’environnement de caregiving précoce s’associe au développement cognitif, social et émotionnel chez les bébés en bonne santé et les bébés à risques.
Livio Provenzi a contribué au Grand Livre des 1000 premiers jours de vie par un chapitre intitulé :
